Venus Conjunct Jupiter on November 13th 2017 – Splendor In The Sky

Venus and Jupiter have a spectacular encounter in the morning sky on Monday, November 13th 2017, at 7° Scorpio.

Venus conjunct Jupiter is not just a regular conjunction… it is a superconjunction. Why is that? Because Venus and Jupiter don’t only cross their elliptic path, but are also become parallel. This means they are on the same declination and longitude. They are basically one next to the other.

You see, if an astrologer says a planet is conjunct another planet, this means the two are aligned along their ecliptic path. But as seen from the Earth, the distance between the two can be significant.

When two planets are also parallel, they show up one next to one another in the sky, and their energies are much more intense than when they are in a regular conjunction.

Venus Jupiter

And there is one more thing: Venus and Jupiter are both visible. In ancient astrology, visibility was the most important omen when making predictions.

Basically, when a planet is visible with the naked eye in the sky, it is much more powerful. When a planet is invisible, its energy is weaker, more introspective, and cannot express itself freely.

Let’s take the example of the Moon. When we have a New Moon, the Moon is invisible, and can only express its energy through the Sun. Same with Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. When the 6 planets are close to the Sun, they are invisible in the sky.

When Mercury and Venus start their retrograde cycles, they are invisible. You may know that Mercury and Venus’s retrogrades are times of introspection. But what you may not know is that their energy is lower because Mercury and Venus are invisible, and that’s the reason why they can only express themselves through the Ego of the Sun.

Now let’s go back to our Venus Jupiter conjunction. What is truly special is that Jupiter just became visible. When a planet becomes visible for the first time, its energy is at its strongest. It is basically the most powerful manifestation of the planet’s energy.

Jupiter disappeared into the sunset in the last week of September and has been out of sight ever since. Finally, on November 11th, Jupiter made its appearance low to the east-southeast horizon. In the coming days, Jupiter will be slowly ascending, getting higher and more prominent.

Sunday morning on November 12th,  Jupiter and Venus will be separated by less than 1°. And finally, Monday morning on November 13th, Venus and Jupiter will appear together, side by side: Venus on the left and dimmer than Jupiter on its right.

Now think for a second of what that means. Jupiter, the planet of abundance, luck and faith becomes visible for the first time, just to meet with the 2nd best planet in the sky, Venus, which is also visible and powerful.

Not only we have a conjunction between Jupiter and Venus, the most beneficial planets in our solar system, but a super-conjunction when Venus and Jupiter are also parallel to each other. Moreover, the two planets are visible and stronger than ever, especially Jupiter!

This is truly amazing!

And if this sounds too scientific, just do what our ancestors have done for millennia: set your alarm, wake up early and watch them for yourself.  What you will experience will be breathtaking.

You will see them right next to each other. The two brightest planets in the sky, will be one next to each other, almost merging in one single light.

Astrologically, the Venus Jupiter conjunction takes place at 7° in Scorpio and marks a new Venus Jupiter cycle. Those people blessed with planets or angles around 7° Scorpio will especially benefit from this conjunction.

Venus and Jupiter meet approximately once a  year to start a new cycle of abundance and growth especially in the area of finance and possessions.

Venus Jupiter cycles repeat themselves every 24-years. 39 revolutions of Venus are equal to 24 revolutions of Earth and 2 revolutions for Jupiter. Every 24 years, the themes of the particular Venus-Jupiter conjunction will come again into our lives. The last cycle took place on 8th of November 1993. Do you recall what happened in your life in November 1993?

As you may know, Jupiter is the luckiest planet in our solar system. Jupiter expands everything it touches. Jupiter stands for growth, abundance, wealth, hope, faith and belief. Jupiter is a symbol of the ruler, of the priest, of the Hierophant, of the one who holds the torch of truth.

No wonder Jupiter has faith. You can only search for the truth if you have faith. When you say “YES” to the world, this is when the opportunities come to you. And somehow, when you say yes, sooner or later, things turn out well. Always. This is the one truth about life and Jupiter knows it better than anyone else.

Now let’s talk about Venus.

Venus stands for how we relate to the world, what we like, what we dislike, the 5 physical senses, what we enjoy doing, our relationships, our ability to give and receive love, our appreciation for beauty and aesthetics.

The Venus Jupiter conjunction takes place in Scorpio, the deepest place in the Zodiac. Scorpio rules the big cycles of life and death, our legacy, what we “share” with others and with the universe as a whole, those things we have no say in. You have no say when you are born. You have no choice but to die, sooner or later.

Scorpio rules the deepest corners of our psyche, these part of ourselves we are not even aware of, but which take over every time – our instincts, our reflexes, our reptilian brain.

Scorpio also rules transformation. We are not really ‘born’ and we don’t really die. We just move from one form of existence to another.

Scorpio is about this deep knowledge that we can only access in brief moments of truth.

Venus conjunct Jupiter is one of them.

Venus and Jupiter will shine brightly in the sky and will join forces to light our way. But what way? What exactly are they going to point to?

Venus and Jupiter will show us the Beauty (Venus) of Truth (Jupiter). Whatever part of your chart this conjunction will stir, will come with one surprising truth. The veil will be lifted. Venus and Jupiter will light your way so you can see what needs to be seen.

What is this truth? Chances are you already know it. Nothing too fancy, nothing too out of reach. Don’t expect to have your life turned upside down. The truth that you are going to find is not unexpected. It will not take you by surprise. You will likely find yourself saying “I can’t believe I’ve missed that all my life”, “I can’t believe I’ve been so blind all this time”.

You don’t need to do anything special. All Scorpio wants is authenticity and genuine connection. What is stopping you from getting in touch with yourself? What are you afraid of in getting to know about the other?  What are you afraid to say, what are you afraid to hear, what are you afraid to know?

What do you really want? With Jupiter almighty in the morning sky, all you have to do is ask for it.

Jupiter conjunct Venus will help you find a deeper meaning in your life. Something will be revealed to you in a different light, a more truer, a more beautiful one. Neptune is in a trine to the conjunction, bringing Venus and Jupiter to the next level, to a higher expression of beauty and love.

In the heart of the Scorpio, where truth and nothing but the truth can prevail, beauty becomes almost a mystical experience. Truth becomes spiritual healing. Beauty and truth become a deeper understanding of how everything makes sense out there, in the higher levels of existence.

You may need to bring the hidden parts of your soul into the light. Or maybe not. Sometimes catharsis comes without too much soul-searching. You can find beauty in the smell of a flower, in the way a stranger smiles at you, or by looking at the sky in the dim light before the Sun comes out.

The Sabian symbol for the Venus Jupiter conjunction is “A calm lake bathed in the moonlight”, suggesting that beyond all our efforts, lays the need for peace and the readiness to accept the illumination from above. We are sometimes so blind to see the beauty that lays just in front of our eyes.

Venus, the Goddess of beauty and love, meets with Jupiter, the Priest. The path of pleasure and the path of spirituality can be difficult to reconcile.  But in the truth of Scorpio, we have the unique chance to blend them together.

Who says there is nothing spiritual in beauty and pleasure? Who says that a spiritual path means renunciation? Right now, we can distill the essence of both. In the alchemy or Venus and Jupiter, we can find the secret formula, the magical elixir that is much more than the sum of its parts.

Wondering how the Venus Jupiter conjunction will affect you?

Look in which house you have Scorpio to find out which area of your life will come into light. For example, if you have Scorpio ascendant, this will be your 1st house, if you have Sagittarius ascendant it will be your 12th house and so on.

Something will be revealed to you. One deep, beautiful truth.  This insight will empower you to ascend like the Phoenix from the ashes of your old self-identification.

You will feel the energy more strongly if you have planets around 7° in Scorpio.

If you have strong Scorpio and 8th house energy in your chart, or a lot of Water, you will connect with this energy more easily. If you have mainly Air or Earth, then the energy can be traumatic at the beginning.

But no need to worry. With Jupiter in Scorpio, the good always wins in the end. You can finally find a resolution for a problem which was haunting you for years. You will finally take your power back.

Sun Conjunct Jupiter – A New Cycle Of Growth, Abundance And Transformation

Sun and Jupiter meet once a year to start a new cycle of growth and abundance.

Sun conjunct Jupiter is one of the most auspicious aspects in astrology. Sun represents our individuality, Sun is the planet we relate with the most. Sun is the biggest planet, the giver of light and life.

The Moon, the planets and the stars can only shine by light reflected from the Sun. The Sun is the filter through which we see and make sense of the world.

Jupiter is the next biggest planet, in fact it’s the biggest planet in our solar system if we count the Sun as a star.

Jupiter, the giant gas ball, is associated in astrology with growth, expansion, abundance and good fortune. Jupiter is a big bubble – its solid rock is assumed to be not much larger than any other ‘solid’ planet such as the Earth, Venus, Mars, Mercury or Pluto. But because of the gas, Jupiter appears to be massive.

One can argue that its giant size is just a facade, and that Jupiter just appears to be a giant, when in fact, it is not. But things are not that simple. Jupiter has always been associated with belief and faith.

jupiter-in-sagittarius-2019

Faith – think a bit about it. We all need it. We need to have faith to move from one state of being to another, to start something new. And faith is a bit like a gas bubble. We cannot touch it, but it inspires us to move on and grow.

If you don’t believe in yourself, if you don’t believe in your prospects for success, what are the chances of undertaking the next challenge? Of going for your dreams?

We all need Jupiter in our life, we need something to believe in, something greater than ourselves.

Imagine a world without Jupiter. A world where Saturn is the biggest planet. Imagine a world where every little step comes with doubt, with disbelief. How much progress do you think is possible in such a scenario?

If Saturn corresponds to what psychologists call the “fixed mindset”, Jupiter is about the “growth mindset”.

We have a fixed mindset when we believe our talents and our resources are scarce and static. We have a growth mindset when we believe that we can continuously develop our abilities through dedication and hard work.

What makes the difference between the fixed and the growth mindset? The belief that growth and progress are possible.

“In a fixed mindset students believe their basic abilities, their intelligence, their talents, are just fixed traits. They have a certain amount and that’s that, and then their goal becomes to look smart all the time and never look dumb. In a growth mindset students understand that their talents and abilities can be developed through effort, good teaching and persistence. They don’t necessarily think everyone’s the same or anyone can be Einstein, but they believe everyone can get smarter if they work at it.” – Carol Dwek

Let’s come back to Sun conjunct Jupiter.

Sun and Jupiter have many things in common: both Sun and Jupiter are spiritual, masculine planets, they are both generous, they are both interested in growth and progress.

When Sun and Jupiter meet we have the two big giants coming to create something even greater together.

Sun conjunct Jupiter is an auspicious time to start a big venture, a big project, to do that thing you always wanted to do but you were too afraid of. Jupiter will give you the dose of optimism you need, the faith that the universe is there to support you in your most daring endeavors.

Sun conjunct Jupiter will invite you to get in touch with the guru, with the believer, with the teacher inside you.

Do you believe you have all the resources you need to expand your life?

Are you ready to confront the darker side of yourself in the process?

How can you become the greatest possible version of yourself? What is ONE THING you need to let go off? What is ONE THING you want to invite into your life to allow transformation to happen?

Jupiter In Scorpio 2017-2018 – How It Is Going To Affect You

Jupiter is now in Sagittarius. Jupiter enters Sagittarius on November 8, 2018 and leaves Sagittarius on December 2nd, 2019.

Jupiter In Scorpio

Jupiter has a 12-year cycle, meaning it spends approximately one year in each sign. That’s why Jupiter changing signs is the astrological event of the year.

Maybe you already felt the shift in one area of your life. When Jupiter changes signs, it moves from one house of your natal chart to the next.

If you are a Libra ascendant, Jupiter in Scorpio moved from your 1st house to the 2nd house. If you are a Scorpio Ascendant, Jupiter moved from your 12th house to your 1st house.

Jupiter moving into Scorpio basically means that the energy of Jupiter will start activating a different part of your chart.

jupiter-in-scorpio

Until October 2017, Jupiter has been in Libra, expanding Libra themes: relationships, beauty, fairness, justice. In Scorpio, Jupiter will expand Scorpio themes: transformation, shared resources, intimacy, psychology, power, healing.

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, is almost like a second Sun. Thanks to its massive size and strong magnetic field, Jupiter has protected the Earth from asteroid impacts that would have destroyed us otherwise.

We wouldn’t be here without Jupiter! No wonder that in any school or tradition of Astrology, Jupiter is seen as the great benefactor, the luckiest and most benevolent planet.

Jupiter or Zeus, the king of God, is the all mighty, unquestionable force of the universe which always works in your favor. Whatever Jupiter touches, it makes it grow.

But what happens when Scorpio is put under the magnifying glass of Jupiter? Think about some people you know with strong Scorpionic energy. Jupiter transiting in Scorpio will be like a Scorpio on steroids.

For Scorpio, everything is “all or nothing”, black or white, death or alive, love or hate – no in-betweens. Scorpio wants you to transform yourself so you can become more resilient and grow into the next version of yourself.

In the process, Scorpio cuts the cords of the past, sheds the old, purges, releases toxins, explores the taboo, confronts psychological daemons – does whatever it takes so you can heal and grow.

And Jupiter in Scorpio? Jupiter in Scorpio will do even more of that. In the coming 13 months, every day, every encounter, everything will serve as an opportunity for transformation.

Are you afraid? Jupiter in Scorpio is not. Whatever your greatest fear is, Jupiter is going to make you explore it in the coming year. If you resist the process, you are going to suffer. If you go with it, you are going to be a different person at the end of the transit. Once you heal the ‘dark side’ it no longer has any power over you.

Jupiter is the natural ruler of Sagittarius, and in Scorpio, Jupiter is in its natural 12th house and therefore has a ‘Piscean’ flavor. Scorpio is the sign where Jupiter sheds his skin before it starts a new cycle in November 2018.

Is Scorpio, Jupiter retreats from the world and is less gregarious than we used to know him. In Scorpio, Jupiter wants to take his time to reflect and – yes – heal himself.

Jupiter is Scorpio will, therefore, bring deep healing for all of us. This is the year when you can get insights from the darkest corners of your psyche – Jupiter will bring them to the surface so healing can happen.

So far, it doesn’t sound like the best transit out there.

Now the good news.

Jupiter in Scorpio is going to be a great transit.

If in Libra, Jupiter received challenging aspects from Pluto (3 squares) and from Uranus (3 oppositions, we are still recovering from the last one) – in Scorpio, Jupiter is going to make mainly positive aspects.

One of the most beautiful transits we can get is Jupiter trine Neptune. The planet of luck and abundance (Jupiter) is in perfect alignment with the planet of God and higher beauty (Neptune).

Jupiter is trine Neptune on:

  • December 3rd 2017 – Jupiter direct 11° in Scorpio trine Neptune direct 11° in Pisces
  • May 25th 2018 – Jupiter retrograde at 16° Scorpio trine Neptune direct at 16° Pisces
  • August 19th 2018 – Jupiter direct at 15° Scorpio trine Neptune retrograde at 15° Pisces

If you have planets between 10° and 17° in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, you are going to have an amazing time in the coming months.

Jupiter makes mainly positive aspects in the coming year, and this is a blessing. You needed this after a turbulent Jupiter in Libra. Jupiter in Scorpio will bring the long-awaited healing and will restore your faith in life.

If you still haven’t found what you are looking for in life, Jupiter in Scorpio will ask you to stop looking, and simply surrender and have faith that the universe will guide you the way. If you do that, you might just well find it.

Countdown! Jupiter moves into Scorpio on October 11th 2017

Jupiter switches signs! On October 11th Jupiter leaves Libra and moves into Scorpio, taking transformation to the next level.

Jupiter will be staying in Scorpio until November 9th 2018.

Every year, Jupiter, the great benefactor, changes from one sign to the next, bringing 1 year of abundance in the sign transited by Jupiter.

You can expect 13 months of abundance in everything Scorpio stands for: money, psychology, intimacy and sex, other people’s resources, loans, investments, occultism, energy healing.

Scorpio rules everything that is hidden, everything that is taboo – all the secrets, all you hidden talents, gemstones,  transformation, the underworld, excavations, oil, cemeteries – Scorpio loves to dig deep, until there is nothing left.

Jupiter in Scorpio

Scorpio can bring crises because it really forces you to go to the bottom of things.

You just dig and dig and dig until there is nothing else to dig – no limiting beliefs, no repressed emotions, no preconceived assumptions – so you get to the core, to the real you.

Jupiter in Scorpio is the ultimate alchemist, transforming the deepest parts of our being and bringing them to the next level of consciousness.

When Jupiter, the planet of growth and expansion, enters the mysterious sign of Scorpio it will put the magnifying glass on everything Scorpio stands for.

Think of a person you know which personifies the Scorpio archetype. What is their energy like? Now imagine that energy multiplied 100 times. This is Jupiter in Scorpio.

Jupiter’s entrance into the intense sign of Scorpio on 11th of October 2017 marks the beginning of the soul excavation process.

The mysterious cycles of life and death, the tapped and untapped resources hiding in the shadows of our soul, the multi-layered universe we abide in, the never ending, ever flowing life energy – all lie under the realm of Jupiter in Scorpio.

During the transit of Jupiter is Scorpio we will get to the core of the concept of abundance, of infinite energy.

There are two ways to make sense of the world: through Saturn and through Jupiter.

Saturn shows us the limits. If you have a piece of chocolate and you eat it, the chocolate is gone. Chocolate is a material thing, and material things are ruled by Saturn.

Energy instead is infinite. The infinite energy is what Jupiter stands for. Energy cannot be destroyed, its nature is infinite. Just like Universe keeps expanding, so does energy.

Energy is not material. You enthusiasm, your values, your beliefs, your faith, are not material and therefore cannot be destroyed, cannot die.

If we understand the concept of energy, we understand the concept of abundance. Abundance is a state of mind. Abundance is everywhere, we just need to see it for what it is.

Jupiter is the planet of abundance – wherever Jupiter goes, will be amplified. But Jupiter also exaggerates.

Jupiter exaggerates the sign it transits, and so it will with the qualities of Scorpio.

In Scorpio, Jupiter will exaggerate Scorpio’s quest for the truth and will turn it into an obsession. With Jupiter in Scorpio, we will want to be right for the sake of being right, and invest time, money and energy in things that might not be worthy of our energy.

But in the process of finding the truth, of searching every corner, of digging every hole, you have the great opportunity to get to those untapped riches that have been hiding in the shadows.

During this transit you can discover a special talent you were not aware of.

Jupiter in Scorpio brings into your awareness all those parts of your life that have been hiding in the darkness, and will ask you to confront them and bring them to the surface.

Now is the time to confront your shadow. Jupiter in Scorpio will show you that it is exactly in your shadow, where you can find your greatest light.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

Jupiter in Scorpio is a great time to tap into our inner kingdom and spiritual power. If you do it wisely, your life can be purged, purified, and transformed by the time Jupiter leaves Scorpio in November 2018.

What does Jupiter in Scorpio mean for you?

Jupiter is the planet of good luck, growth, opportunities and expansion. Jupiter is the magnifying glass of our solar system, bringing abundance in the area of your life transited by Jupiter.

Look in the house where you have this transit to get more clues. If Jupiter transits your 2nd house, you income will improve, if Jupiter transits your 4th house, you will experience abundance in your family, if Jupiter transits your 5th house, your romance will blossom.

If you have Jupiter in Scorpio natally you will experience your Jupiter return, which is a time of great expansion, joy, optimism, growth, wealth.

You know you have your Jupiter return if you are 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 and so on. You have a Jupiter return once every 12 years.

Opportunities will come to your way easier and you will seem to be at the right place, at the right time. Remember, Jupiter is the King of all Gods, so you basically have a green light from heavens to manifest whatever your heart desires.

You can also experience these effects if you are a Scoprio, if you have Scorpio ascendant, or if you have the Moon or Venus in Scorpio.

Jupiter Is Now Direct – Expand Your Horizons

Life is good! Every time Jupiter goes direct after his 4-month hibernation period, our lives start to move forward, too.

After 4 months of doubting our goals, hopes and dreams, it is time to start over again with full confidence. Jupiter direct is about going forward, no matter what. No dream is too high, no challenge is too  great for the God of all Gods!

Ready for the next big adventure of your life?

jupiter-direct

Anything we start in the days following Jupiter’s direct motion will be blessed with Jupiter’s luck and good fortune .

If you have Sagittarius or Pisces ascendant, you will benefit greatly from this energy, because Jupiter is your ruling planet.

Jupiter cycles starts every 12 years, so if you are 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96 years of age, you have your Jupiter return. During Jupiter return our desire to expand our horizons, our desire to travel, to experience the world, to learn and grow is stronger than ever.

Does Jupiter really bring good luck? Jupiter has always been associated with good fortunes. Jupiter, the protector of the Romans, the God of all Gods in Olympus, and the giant gas ball of our solar system is indeed linked to expansion, growth, and good fortune.

It is believed that the pull of Jupiter’s gravity has helped shape the fate of our solar system. In the early years of our solar system’s history, Jupiter, thanks to his immense gravitational field, has stopped asteroids form bombarding the smaller planets, including the Earth. We won’t be here without Jupiter!

Jupiter gives a sense of optimism and faith, being the official ruler of religion and missionaries. No matter how bad things get, Jupiter always brings a positive outlook. He truly believes that things can ultimately turn out well.

“People who wonder if the glass is half empty or half full, miss the point. The glass is refillable.”

Jupiter loves scale and he doesn’t like to stay small. He wants to go farther than anyone else. That’s why Jupiter rulers everything that is “higher” or “farther” – higher education, long distance travel, faraway and exotic places, foreigners, government and religion.

Under Jupiter’s beam, we are more keen to experience new places – either literally or with the mind’s eye – and to seek a higher meaning in everything we do. Our risk appetite also increases, as well as our sense of adventure – Jupiter transits are notorious for giving us a push to move into unknown territories.

When Jupiter goes over important points in our chart, we suddenly get more interested in different places, different cultures and different points of view. We get excited about the unexpected, about the possibility of discovering something new.

Does Jupiter trigger any point in your chart? Take a trip, read a book, or get in contact with a foreign culture. This is a good time to broaden your perspective and grow.

Jupiter is the antithesis of Saturn. When life gets tough, it’s usually because Saturn has a lesson for us. Right now, Jupiter direct, stronger than ever, is infusing everyone and everything with optimism and joie de vivre and as a result, Saturn’s power is starting to fade.  We’ve learned our lessons, thank you very much Saturn. We are now ready to move on.

The world is changing and our beliefs are changing too. Jupiter direct is giving us the enthusiasm we need to change what is not working, what is keeping us stagnant. Which hopes and dreams have you been neglecting? Jupiter direct is the sign you’ve been waiting for. Time to take action and make your dreams a reality!

Jupiter Turns Retrograde – Keep The Faith

Jupiter is retrograde for approximately 4 months every year.

jupiter-retrograde

To get more insights about the area of your like that is going to be affected by the Jupiter station, have a look at which house Jupiter is currently transiting.  For example, Jupiter is transiting my sixth house – so I started to question my values about my lifestyle and nutrition (with a stellium in the 6th house, I am already a nutrition freak and eat very healthy, but there is always room for improvement 😉

Jupiter retrograde motion will effect all of us in some way or another. Jupiter retrograde will encourage you to reflect on the big questions of life and see things in different ways.  If Jupiter direct is the Preacher, Jupiter retrograde is the Devil’s advocate. In this context, the Devil’s advocate mission is take a closer look and question our beliefs, as well as the beliefs of our society.

When Jupiter slows down we will have the chance to see the details we missed when Jupiter was direct.

Jupiter retrograde is an invitation to keep our faith alive and strong, without losing sight of our purpose.

Keep the faith and remember that the darkness always turns to light.

Jupiter Opposite Uranus – A Cosmic High Five

Feeling hyped up? The clash of the two “astro titans” Jupiter and Uranus might be the reason why.

Jupiter in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries is one of the most important transits of the decade – it only takes place once every 14 years! The transit is exact on the following dates:

  • December 25th, 2016 – at 20° (Jupiter direct, Uranus retrograde)
  • March 2nd, 2017 – at 22° (Jupiter retrograde, Uranus direct)
  • September 27th, 2017 – at 27° (Jupiter direct, Uranus retrograde)

This is one of the most exciting transits you can experience and it will bring rapid changes and breakthroughs of all kinds.

jupiter-opposite-uranus

Jupiter is the great benefactor, the king of all gods, Jupiter magnifies and inflates everything it touches.

Uranus is the rebel, the freedom-seeker, the reformer and the revolutionary.

Together, the two stand for the faith and the courage to break free from the old and reinvent the new.

Jupiter opposite Uranus is a very progressive aspect. Things are likely to happen in a BIG scale and impact our society as a whole.

In 1989 when we had the Jupiter Uranus oppposition on the Cancer Capricorn axis, the Berlin wall and the Communism collapsed and the Cold War was declared over. South Africa’s new prime minister F.W. de Klerk started to dismantle the apartheid regime. The successful Galileo spacecraft was launched in 1989, to be purposefully destroyed 14 years later, in 2003, exactly at the time of the next Jupiter Uranus opposition. No coincidences in astrology 😉

In 2003 when we had again a Jupiter Uranus opposition this time on the Virgo Pisces axis, the US space shuttle Colombia crashed, and the U.S. and Britain launched the war against Iraq.

If we look back in time when we had this transit we notice some common themes: profound changes in societal structures, taking a stand, restlessness, revolutions, techonological progress, scientific discoveries.

The current Jupiter Uranus opposition is on the Aries Libra axis, signifying a revolution in relationships and partnerships, as well as opportunities for those looking for new relationships and partnerships.

If you’re single, things can now move really speedily! Single or committed, Jupiter opposite Uranus is good news if if you’ve been feeling stuck in love or if you want to move your relationship to the next level.

However, let’s not forget that an opposition is an opposition and it will bring friction. Jupiter in Libra encourages you to cooperate with others in an optimistic and generous way. Uranus in Aries wants you to be free and “Do it your way” – Uranus  is NOT that interested in pleasing others.

As a result, you can feel a conflict between your desire to fit in and be a team player, and your desire to express our unique self.

If your everyday reality does not allow you to express yourself, if what you’re doing for a living bores you, right now you can feel compelled to take a stand and radically change your life. During this transit you will feel an urge to improve yourself, to evolve, to upgrade your reality.

But be careful – because your energy levels are very high right now you can be more impulsive than usual.

Like with any Uranus transit, changes will come, and the best way to prepare for Uranus is not to prepare at all. When you are ready to accept an outcome, any outcome, when you allow the unexpected to happen, this is when you realize the full potential of every moment.

The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom – William Blake

To find out how the Jupiter Uranus opposition will affect you personally, note the houses where the oppposition falls in your natal chart, as well as any aspect Jupiter or Uranus applies to your personal planets or angles.

If you have planets around 20-29° in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) – especially Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury, Mars, the Ascendant, the Midheaven, or if your natal Jupiter makes an aspect with your natal Uranus you will especially be in the focus.

“It’s not for sale at any price” – Jupiter Square Pluto

Rick: [about his club] “It’s not for sale”

Ferrari: “You haven’t heard my offer”

Rick: “It’s not for sale at any price”

This quote from the classic movie Casablanca is a great metaphor for what the upcoming Jupiter square Pluto stands for. A powerful and elegant answer to the even more classical “I will make you an offer you can’t refuse” (from the movie Godfather), Jupiter – Pluto speaks of those things in life that are non-negotiable. Real power, real strength, real character, strong beliefs ARE non-negotiable.

jupiter-square-pluto

This transit also speaks about faith. When we have faith, we know things will turn out the way they are supposed to, beyond dear and beyond uncertainty.

Jupiter is in Libra and Pluto is in Capricorn. Libra and Capricorn are cardinal signs – Libra rules partnerships and relationships, while Capricorn is about the way we want to project ourselves into the world. When in square, we will be torn between “saving our relationships” and “saving our face”. When everything becomes a matter of principle, it is impossible to compromise.

On a positive side, Pluto’s (king on the underworld) intensity combined with Jupiter (‘larger than life’ king of all gods), gives us the strength to overcome any obstacle. Together the two will give us a tremendous drive to succeed, no matter what.

On a more negative note, Jupiter/Pluto square can turn into, “I’m right and you’re wrong”, my faith, religion, beliefs, are superior to yours. Our desire to compete and win can be stronger than any reason. Mixing with people from different cultures or backgrounds can lead to disputes. Religious mania or extremism are possible outcomes if we remain single-minded.

Because a square is a square, it is likely we will face some sort of tests and challenges in our quest for success – but it is through these challenges that we will become even stronger and more resilient.

All in all, transiting Jupiter square Pluto makes us want to succeed, and succeed big-time. And because we want it so bad, it is highly likely we WILL succeed. Success, power and influence are all possible now – just keep in mind that, no matter what Rick says, there will always be a price to pay 😉

Leonard Cohen had an almost exact Jupiter / Pluto square (0°03’) in his natal chart. His music, for example the song Hallelujah, evokes the “battle” of spirituality, religion, higher purpose (Jupiter) and the deep, soul-searching call for the Truth, beyond any dogma or ideology (Pluto).

People with planets or angles around 19° in Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) are especially affected by this transit.

Jupiter Opposite Chiron

jupitar-opposite-chiron

We won’t have this aspect in the next 60 years so this might be our very unique opportunity to learn about how to grow into a greater human being by taking a look a closer look at ourselves, and learning to accept ourselves with all our scars and imperfections.

The opposition takes place on the Virgo Pisces axis, the axis of self development and service. Because Jupiter is involved, the lesson we learn now is one of generosity and kindness. We can only give to others if we learn to give to ourselves.

Kindness ultimately is not a skill to be mastered, we all have it inside ourselves, but we can only cultivate it if we accept the idea of being without any expectations.

Juno In Scorpio

Juno is the wife of Jupiter and the queen of all gods. In astrology, Juno represents the “good wife”. Jupiter cheated on Juno again and again, yet she still stayed with him, and fulfilled her traditional duties.

In almost all schools of astrology, Juno is associated with commitment, marriage, and legal contracts in general – In Magi astrology however, Juno is the symbol of the mistress.

Whether we go with the traditional symbolism, or with the Magi ideas, with Juno there seems to be some stickiness to “what is written in the contract” on what we are liable for, even if we feel the contract does not serve our best purposes.

Juno-In-Scorpio

In Scorpio, Juno wants to find the truth.

She will ‘check on’ her husband Jupiter even more than she usually does. Shallowness and superficiality in relationships are not to be tolerated during the transit of Juno in Scorpio. If in Libra, Juno wants to save her marriage, in Scorpio, Juno would rather divorce than be cheated on or treated with disrespect.

Those of you who are interested in astronomy might have heard of NASA’s Juno mission. Juno is the name the scientist gave the spacecraft sent on mission to Jupiter. Interestingly (and from an astrological perspective, not at all a coincidence 😉 Juno entered Jupiter’s obit exactly at the time she started her transit in Scorpio.

And what’s the Juno spacecraft doing? Now that it is in Jupiter’s orbit it will be peering beneath the clouds to uncover Jupiter’s secrets – from a scientific perspective, just like from an astrological perspective, Juno will ‘check on’ her partner to see if he or she is worthy of her devotion.
