The Astrology Of September 2019 – Busy Times

September will be very busy. We have a record amount of aspects – basically, no planet will remain unaspected. There will be A LOT going on.

We have some wonderful supportive aspects in Earth signs, but also several dynamic T-squares which will demand action.

If you planned to chill out in September, that ain’t going to happen. But you will be pretty pleased you didn’t. September has a lot to offer.

In the 1st part of September, we have a stellium in Virgo and a dynamic mutable T-square with  Jupiter at the apex, squaring Neptune and the planets in Virgo. This is a highly dynamic and optimistic configuration. We will feel anything is possible and we will ‘try our luck’ and test what works and what doesn’t.

In the last part of the month, the ‘action’ moves into Libra, where we will have yet another (cardinal) T-square with Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and the Nodes of the Moon. Saturn is in fact aspecting the Nodes of the Moon the whole month, while stationing direct.

There is a sense of fatedness, of no going back. You will finally make the decision to stop doing what’s not working or let go of a limiting belief that has been holding you down for years.

T-squares are one of the most dynamic aspects in astrology. A T-square is formed out of two squares and an opposition. The T-square is a ‘closed’ aspect meaning all the planets involved are connected with each other, so we don’t have any ‘energy leak’. The friction is so high that we cannot help ourselves but DO something about it.

After months of withholding, the ‘sleeping beauty’ Venus will emerge from the beams of the Sun as an Evening Star. If your relationships have been a little difficult lately – that’s because the Goddess of Love has been invisible.

This will change. Venus will transform into a beautiful evening star, to be seen just after sunset. With Venus Evening Star, the more you love, the more love you receive.

Let’s have a look at the most important aspects of the month:

September 2nd, 2019 – Sun Conjunct Mars

On September 2nd, 2019, Sun is conjunct Mars at 9° Virgo, beginning a new Mars synodic cycle. Mars cycles last for two years. Mars is the first planet to travel a full circle around the Sun (Mercury and Venus never travel too far away from the Sun).

That’s why Mars is the planet of personal initiative. Mars is our WILL. If you have angles and personal planets around 9° Virgo, in the next couple of years you will be very active, bold and action-oriented (Mars qualities) and at the same time thorough and productive (Virgo). Time to tell the world about your big plans and leave your unique mark!

September 3rd, 2019 Mercury Conjunct Sun And Mars

On September 3rd, 2019 Mercury is conjunct with both Mars and the Sun at 10° Virgo. The energy is building up.

This is an excellent day for any type of intellectual activity: writing, speaking, performing, teaching or starting a new course or qualification.

September 5-12th, 2019 – Mutable T-Square With Jupiter At Apex

In fact, between the 5th and 12th of September, Jupiter is at the apex of a mutable T-square with Mercury, Venus, Sun and Mars in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. Venus (on the 5th), then Mercury (on the 7th), then the Sun, then Mars (on the 12th) will all be squaring Jupiter and then one day later opposing Neptune.

The Virgo stellium square Jupiter will tell us to never stop learning and always look out for the next big thing. Jupiter square Neptune will encourage us to shoot for the Moon, because even if we miss, we will still land among stars.

Jupiter square Neptune alone is very idealistic – but because we also have 4 personal planets in Virgo, this idealism will be tempered by Virgo’s common sense and practicality. To everyone else, it will look like you’re taking crazy risks… but you know that in fact, you’re taking calculated risks. Virgo always does her homework, and so will you.

Steve Jobs (a 6th house Sun, with a Virgo ascendant) famously said “stay foolish, stay hungry” – and this pretty much sums up the first half of September.

September 13th, 2019 – Mercury Conjunct Venus

On September 13th, 2019 Mercury is conjunct Venus at 28° Virgo. This is an extremely creative aspect. If you’re an artist or a writer, this is your day.

Even if what you do has nothing to do with art or writing, today you will be more charming and articulate in your communication.

September 14th, 2019 – Full Moon In Pisces

September 14th, 2019 we have a Full Moon at 21° Pisces. Any Full Moon in the water sign of Pisces is emotional, but this one even more so, because it is conjunct Neptune and opposite Mars.

There is no planet in an air sign right now. We can’t keep our cool, we can’t detach, we can’t be rational. We are purely driven by emotions. Try not to make life-altering decisions during this Full Moon… unless you are the ultra-rational type of person, in this case, making decisions with your emotions may be a good idea.

Just hours after the Full Moon in Pisces, Mercury and Venus enter Libra. Mercury and Venus conjunct in Libra can bring new relationships, new partnerships or new deals.

September 18th, 2019 – Saturn Goes Direct

On September 18th, 2019 Saturn stations direct at 13° Capricorn. Saturn is in a tight conjunction with the South Node the whole month of September.

The aspect is within 1 degree and it will become exact on September 28th, 2019. You may try to turn back the clock of time, but Saturn has just turned direct. There’s no going back. Leave the past in the past.

September 21st, 2019 – Jupiter Square Neptune

On September 21st, 2019, Jupiter (16° Sagittarius) squares for the last time Neptune (16° Pisces). The first two squares occurred in January and in June.

Jupiter square Neptune may have had dissolved your beliefs – but only so that you can find a higher meaning, a higher order, a higher purpose for your life.

Hopefully, now that the transit is concluding, you would have found better beliefs (that reflect the person who you’ve become) or at least, better reasons to believe in what you already believe.

September 22nd – 25th, 2019 – Mercury And Venus Square Saturn And Square Lunar Nodes

September 22nd, 2019 Mercury (at 13° Libra) squares both stationing Saturn and the Nodes of the Moon, forming a cardinal T-square.

We are at crossroads, after the mutable changes in the 1st part of the month. You can have an epiphany about your life, who you are, and your purpose here on earth, and will be like “Watch out world, the new me is coming through”.

You won’t be looking back this time.

September 23rd, 2019 – Sun Enters Libra (The Southern Equinox)

September 23rd, 2019 Sun enters Libra and we have the Southern equinox. The day is equal to the night no matter where you are on Earth.

The two equinoxes and the two solstices are the 4 most important dates in a year. They are turning points and happen at 0° of the cardinal signs: the Northern Equinox is at 0° Aries, the Southern Solstice is at 0° Cancer, the Southern Equinox is at 0° Libra, and the Northern Solstice at 0° Capricorn.

These 4 cardinal degrees are the most ‘potent’ of the zodiac because the Sun completely changes direction. If you act now, you too will be a force of nature. You can move mountains when the Sun is at 0° in a cardinal sign, you if you want to start a daring venture, now is the time!

September 26th, 2019 – Mercury Square Pluto

On September 26th, 2019 Mercury (at 20° Libra) squares Pluto (at 20° Capricorn). All Mercury-Pluto squares come with obsessive thoughts. Mercury is our mind, and how we make sense of the world.

Pluto, the God of the Underworld, wants to dig deeper. No matter how much he knows, it’s never enough. You can become obsessed with finding the truth and no answer will satisfy you.

Thankfully, Mercury in Libra is balanced and rational – so if you stay rational and detached, you may well find the truth.

September 28th, 2019 – Saturn Conjunct South Node

On September 28th, 2019 Saturn is conjunct the South Node for the last time.

Phew. The transit will take place just one day before a new Lunar cycle begins. Saturn is now direct and he will not change his mind. He is ready to move on.

This is the last day of the Virgo lunar cycle, on September 29th we will have a New Moon in Libra so we can start again, this time with a more balanced, rational outlook.

September 29th, 2019 – New Moon In Libra

September 29th, 2019 we have a New Moon at 5° Libra. The New Moon is opposite Chiron. Libra is about balancing your needs with the needs of others. Chiron is the principle of reconciliation – of instinct and intellect, of the God and the human, of yin and yang.

The New Moon in Libra will teach us that sometimes the path to healing is through other people. When we focus on others, we distance ourselves from our problems and we allow healing to happen naturally.

What a month!
