Lunar Eclipse In Leo – Time To Roar

February 10th brings us a spectacular lunar eclipse at 22° Leo. Supported by a mystic rectangle and a grand Fire Trine, the lunar eclipse in Leo is a wonderful way to kickstart the brand new Eclipse cycle on the Leo Aquarius axis.

Yes, with the first Lunar Eclipse in Leo we say goodbye to the Virgo lessons and start embracing the new fresh (and hot) leonine lunar energy.

A lunar eclipse is a Full Moon on steroids, heightening the effects of a Full Moon, bringing the necessary endings and the feared beginnings, catalyzing forward movement and change, giving us all the clarity we need, and revealing the new avenues and directions of our destiny.

The Eclipse will be visible form most parts of the world, however because it is a penumbral eclipse it is rather subtle –  but if you chose to moongaze on Friday night you will notice the Full Moon will look slightly dimmer than usual.

In Native American traditions the February Full Moon was knows as the Snow Moon, a time to hide from the rough nature and spend more time inside the home with the tribe.

Coming back to astrology, this lunar eclipse is truly special, because it is supported by a mystic rectangle. The tension of the two oppositions (Sun/Moon and Jupiter/Uranus) is harmoniously channeled by the supporting sextiles and trines. Jupiter (23° Libra) trines the Sun (22° Aquarius) and makes a sextile to the Moon (22° Leo), while Uranus (21° Aries) trines the Moon and makes a sextile to the Sun. This is just wonderful! …especially if you have planets around 21°-23° in Fire or Air signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius).

Saturn is also around, beautifully positioned in a Fire grand trine together with the Moon and Uranus, making sure that all this positive energy is turned into something meaningful and durable. The trine between Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries will bring the best from (the otherwise extremely different energies) from the legendary father and son, as Uranus creates change where is needed and Saturn provides the maturity and the self-awareness to make smart and educated decisions.

Leos (especially those born between 13 and 17 of August) are especially favored because this Lunar Eclipse is all about them (and they love that! All about THEM (haha). This Full Moon will bring into focus all the Leo themes:  self-expression, creativity, fun, romance, children and a bit of drama. If you want to launch something and get some spotlight, this is great time to do so!

Jupiter opposite Uranus will bring unexpected turns of events and all kind of surprises.  You should definitely plan for some social event of Friday night – you are going to have a great time! Leo is afterwards the most playful, enthusiastic and fun sign.

The moon shining in Leo is like a lioness roaring so get ready to get out of your comfort zone and draw attention on yourself. The world wants to know more about you!

“I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter,

dancing through the fire

Cause I am a champion and

You’re gonna hear me ROAR

Louder, louder than a lion”
