New Moon In Pisces – 95% Magic

On February 23rd, 2020 we have a New Moon in Pisces

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is perhaps the most enigmatic sign of the zodiac, more so than Scorpio. Yes, Scorpio is deep, but at least with Scorpio, you know where you stand.

With Pisces, you never really know what’s going on. Pisces is elusive, mysterious and unpredictable.

90 to 95% of the universe is dark matter and dark energy. Similarly, we only use a fraction of our brain, and although there is no scientific consensus on this, it is believed that in a conscious state, 90 to 95% of our brain capacity is not used to its full potential. So again, 95% of our brain is a complete mystery.

But what is this 95% of ‘dark matter’? Pisces’s territory. That’s why it is said that Pisces and the 12th house rule the ‘invisible world’.

The ‘invisible world’ is a difficult concept to grasp. It’s basically everything we don’t understand with the 5% of our conscious brain.

Dreams, the collective unconscious, magic, divinity, extra sensorial perception and communication, and pretty much everything we can’t see, touch and make sense of is Pisces’s realm.

Pisces, Neptune and the 12th house have been connected in astrology to self-undoing, delusion, isolation and other rather negative terms.

But that’s a limited perspective of what Pisces has to offer. Pisces and the 12th house also bring miracles, unconditional love, unexpected opportunities, and pure magic. There’s a lot to find in the 95%!

In my pre-teens, my deskmate and I used to take piano lessons. We were supposed to practice at home, in between lessons. Instead of practicing, we would pray to God that the class would go smoothly and the teacher won’t go mad.

Tens of Saturn transits later, I still laugh about it. Now if I’m totally honest, sometimes praying did work. Call it placebo or brain chemistry – my friend and I intuitively knew how to tap into Pisces’ energy – that uncharted territory where miracles do happen.

You can too access this portal of infinite creative opportunities whenever you tap into your Pisces or 12th house energy.

The New Moon in Pisces on February 23rd is one of those opportunities.

The New Moon in Pisces is at 4° Pisces and is conjunct Mercury retrograde, sextile Uranus in Taurus, and sextile Mars in Capricorn.

Mars is the planet of action. Mars sextile the New Moon will push you may make some decisions that don’t seem logical but that will eventually set you free.

Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. If Mercury is the ‘lower mind’ or how we humans make sense of the world, Uranus is the divine wisdom, the all-knowing consciousness. At the New Moon in Pisces, you can bypass your ‘human’ mind and get direct access to the AI of the universe.

Let’s not forget though that the New Moon in Pisces is conjunct Mercury retrograde. This is not the most exciting transit in the world.

On one hand, you’ll want to start something new, because New Moons come with new beginnings, but then Mercury is Retrograde so not in its best shape, not to mention that Mercury is also in detriment in Pisces. You may feel confused and pulled in different directions.

Things are not what they seem – that’s why you want to take your time and do your research.

Because we’re in the Pisces season, this ‘research’ doesn’t have to be conventional.

Meditate. Look for signs. Ask your spirit guides.

There are lots of opportunities in confusion. In not knowing exactly what to do. When you don’t have a clear agenda, you wonder beyond what meets the eye. And discover new paths, new places, and new possibilities. Magic is everywhere, you just have to open your eyes a little wider.

The Sabian symbol of the New Moon in Pisces is “A church bazaar”, which suggests that church symbols such as ‘God’, ‘faith’ and ‘redemption’ are always present even in the most material human activities.

And the New Moon in Pisces is a wonderful reminder of that.
