Chiron in Aries 2018-2027 – You are Here for a Reason

Chiron is now in Aries, to stay here until 2027.

Every year in March, when we have the Aries season, Chiron gets activated.

Between March 25th-March 29th, 2021 we have a triple Sun-Venus-Chiron conjunction.

Triple conjunctions are very rare, and a triple conjunction with Chiron is our opportunity to heal old wounds and become whole again.

Chiron – The Key to the Zodiac

Although Chiron is not literally a planet, any person who has studied Chiron and has experienced Chiron transits knows that Chiron transits are VERY intense and life-changing.

Chiron is classified as both a minor planet and a comet and it’s primarily connected to the archetype of the Wounded Healer.

Chiron’s glyph is literally a key, and if we study Chiron’s orbit and Chiron’s mythology we soon understand why Chiron is truly the key to the zodiac.

Chiron – The Bridge Between

Chiron has an irregular orbit and spends more time in some signs than in others. Chiron can transit a sign from anywhere between 1,5 years to 9 years. Chiron spends the most time in Pisces and Aries (8 to 9 years).

This is interesting because Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and Aries the first sign of the zodiac.

Chiron spends the most time in these two signs because this is where he has to work the hardest. Connecting the end of everything (Pisces) to the beginning of all possibilities (Aries) is not an easy task, but if there is someone that can embark on this journey, that is Chiron.

In this way, Chiron acts as a link between the unconscious and the conscious, between materiality and immateriality.

The same theme (of linking two different realms of existence) emerges if we study Chiron’s orbit.

Chiron orbits between Saturn (the last visible planet) and Uranus (the first transpersonal planet). By orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, Chiron links our personal experience to the collective experience.

Last but not least, the duality is also linked to mythology. Chiron was a Centaurus – half God, half horse, signifying the animal and the God coming together in one entity.

Whenever Chiron triggers your natal chart by transit, a healing crisis occurs.

Ultimately, Chiron’s role is to break, but also to put back together different forms of existence.

Chiron is the alchemist of the zodiac. Chiron breaks everything only to find a higher, a superior order.

Chiron In Aries – The Identity Wound

Chiron in Aries is where you feel you don’t have the right to be yourself. Aries is concerned exactly with the affirmation of the self but Chiron will challenge this affirmation of the self, with the purpose of finding a higher order.

Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac – is all about the individual, about impulse, passion, instinct, “Me first” attitude.

Aries is where we assert ourselves, where we go for what we want, where we draw borders to express our uniqueness.

Aries is the very first sprout to emerge from the soil in the spring, choosing life, choosing to ‘get out there’ into the world and express itself.

Chiron is where we feel wounded, ashamed, broken and inadequate.

Chiron will challenge Aries’ expression of the self, expression of individuality.

Chiron in Aries is about the greatest wounds of all – the wound of identity.

The wound of identity is when we feel we don’t have the right to exist. This is the most painful wounds of all because it is the most difficult to grasp.

We Are Born With It

We are all born with the wound of identity. When we are babies, we hardly have an identity. We are the result of the genetic makeup of our parents.

As we grow up, if our self-expression is encouraged, we slowly develop our unique identity.

But it’s not easy. Our parents may – rightly so – see us as an extension of themselves, and may have difficulties in acknowledging that we are a different human being. It is not their fault! They do this because they want to protect us.

But trying to force the child to become anything else but what they were born to be, is incredibly damaging to the sense of the child’s self. Stifling a child’s individuality is more damaging in the long-term than neglect and even violence.

People who have the most challenging forms of psychosis usually come from upbringings where they were not allowed to be themselves, to express their uniqueness.

Symptoms of the identity wound

  • “I am nobody” – an overall feeling of emptiness and disconnection
  • “I am not enough” – a desire to “prove” oneself
  • “If I don’t fit in, I don’t exist” – a desire to be liked by everyone
  • A tendency to copy other people, but at the same time a lack of defining role models
  • A desire to get unnoticed, fear of expressing one’s opinions and beliefs
  • Difficulty to connect with one’s body or feelings
  • …or on the contrary, a desperation to prove one’s uniqueness by behaving odd, or by adopting a strange appearance or mannerism
  • A tendency to hurt oneself, physically or psychologically – self-inflicted wounds, abuse of drugs and medication, feeling ‘numb’

How to Overcome the Wound of Identity with Chiron in Aries

What can you do about your feelings of worthlessness? Can the wound of identity be healed?

No achievement, no money or glory can heal this wound – because being you is not about becoming something you are not, but is about learning to accept that it is OK to be you!

Chiron-Aries

Chiron in Aries will ask us to address and heal – once and for all – the wound of identity, a wound that we are all born with.

Chiron in Aries is about taking responsibility for your existence, is about being present with your wounds, with your pain and with your shame.

Show yourself despite the pain. You are going to feel it, no doubt. But no matter what, you need to show yourself, do what you need to do, take a step forward, to BE YOU.

You are Here for a Reason

Your existence is the very proof you deserve to BE. There is a reason why out of billions of genetic possibilities, it was YOU who made it.

Yes, not only you have the right to exist, but you are here for a reason. You were born with a unique mission.

You were born to express the divine in your unique way, to live through your unique gifts, talents, and skills. You are much more than you think. The stars, the whole universe collided so you could be here today.

“Don’t make me prove,

Why I should be, Why I belong, Why I deserve to be here

I deserve….

I know that I am, I am

And so is anyone who can walk, who can talk, who can laugh, who cry, feel pain

So is anyone who can’t speak, who can’t hear, who can’t see, who’s never had a free mind

So is anyone whether brown or white or any other color

We’re Beautifully human

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautifully human, Beautiful

When you allow your true self to shine through, there is no more pain, there is no more wound. You achieve self-realization.

Self-realization happens when all the broken parts of you come together to form a whole.

But you need to put ALL these parts together. Yes, even those you are ashamed of. They are part of you too, they are part of your story.

By allowing them to exist, you allow yourself to exist. And this is how you find the key, a higher order, the higher meaning of your existence.

  1. thank you so so much!!!! I am born 1973 march 20, I have chiron at 15 in aries, sun 29, venus 24 and mercury 17 in pisces, moon 15 libra, saturn 14 Ac 15 in gemini. so much healing happening, I am so ready to transcend my identity. Bless your wisdom that you share with us- so helpful! much Love <3 <3 <3

  2. Wow. I’m completely blow away by this. It is all that I’ve been doing and all that I will be doing for some time summed up in one article! I might even need to use some of this in my novel when it is written during this next phase of Chiron over the next 8-9 years. How can I get your permission to copy some of it for publishing in a piece of fiction please? Many thanks for your clarity, for your divine understanding and for sharing so succinctly and clearly. x

  3. Thanks for this insightful article. I’m going through Chiron return now. Interestingly, I am moving (being moved) from a life of spirituality & service to others to a more material expression of personal fulfilment.

  4. Fantastic article. I have my Chiron return coming pretty much as soon as he enters Aries along with my north node. Interesting how I am feeling much of what you have written.

  5. Thank you so much for this! I felt it all and appreciate your time and choice of words- very beautifully explained. <3 much love to you

  6. Chiron maybe also of Orion. This time in aries I suggest is aries refusing the ugly in progress and establishing what is real beauty in our hunt for verve in life.

  7. thank you for this article, it was amazing! what a great lesson on chiron! any way you can post one about aspecting the natal sun or ascendant??? greatly appreciated!!

  8. thank you for this article…I have Chiron Retrograde in my natal chart and I am coming up on my Chiron Return. I am 4 degrees away right now….while I understand exactly how this is showing up in my life. My Astrology teacher here locally isn’t a big Chiron believer…I am would like to get some fresh ideas of how I can better work with this energy to clear it.

  9. My natal Chiron is in Pisces (5th house, which is an Aquarius cusp). The last 8-9 years completed my Chiron return. April 2018 into mid May 2018 was quite upsetting. Chiron exiting Pisces (which natally cusps my 6th house) into Aries. Aries cusp on the 7th house. I find comfort in this article (it answers much on why I was feeling the way I was feeling between mid April and May). I worry though, what will be in store in my 7th House Chiron transit of Aries.

    1. Hi Eliza, I think you and I have very similar charts from what you describe. My AC is at 6° Libra, Chiron in Pisces in V conjunct South Node & Mercury. Let me know if this rings a bell. I believe we are in a major life transition because of Chiron but also other aspects & transits. I just felt compelled to contact you, as you may be my astrological sister. Astro Butterfly, so good to read that Chiron transit in 7th can bring healing to relationships. How do you know if Chiron will bring the wound or the healing, since he is the Wounded Healer? Thanks!

  10. I would like to thank you wholeheartedly for writing this article. I have chiron in aries and what you have written here has resonated with me to such degree that it has blown my mind. i am so glad that it was you and your article that google search pulled on on my screen. you wrote “When you allow your true self to shine through, there is no more pain, there is no more wound. You achieve self-realization.” this is so profound and is so fitting to what i am going through in my life right now. I had 12th house eclipses recently which triggered me to do a lot of subconcious clearing, inner child healing kind of work. it came out of the blue and I feel i am not the same person anymore. life is so magical. i am not an expert in chiron but chiron entering aries in transit sounds like is supporting all the wound healing work i have been doing for the last 3 months. and tonight was the night. I finally realized what i want to do with my life and things came full circle. i was wounded as a child by my parents and i want to do healing work with children and parents. sometimes life is just so simple but so beautiful. thank you once again. much light to you from a fellow lightworker

  11. As many here have expressed, I am so grateful for sharing this with us in such a profound and hopeful way. I am going through my Chiron return in Aries and this helped so much to enlighten my path for healing. You nailed it with, “to not fit in is to not exist.” I also felt for years as a young child in a financially strapped family that I was a burden, even as the oldest of four, I was the burden. I am working on accepting me for me and growing into seeing the positive impact I am making on those around me, especially my own children. I’m glad I’m here now. It’s a Wonderful Life has new meaning.

  12. I have Chiron in Pisces 12th house. I had the Chiron return a few years ago. I also remember how the transit of the sun conjunct natal Chiron affected me deeply. That day, a deep wound was touched and I could not hide it anymore.

    1. Indeed, Sun Chiron conjunction trigger what I call a ‘healing crisis”. Thanks for sharing

  13. Astrology never ceases to amaze me. I found your article the day mars and uranus are both conjoined right on top of my chiron. Being a sun and mercury opposition chiron to my northnode, I have a lot of insights like this too, but this was so positively put. Thank you

    1. Great article, thank you! My progressed Mars is now in a balsamic conjunct to my natal Chiron. With an Aries NN, I’m really enjoying this evolutionary spin, personally and collectively 🙂

  14. Chiron in Aries will conjunct my ascendant… Could you give me a take on that please? I’m kinda scared given that I already have a lot of problems with self image, identity and socialization… (I’m also a leo, scorpio moon, venus in libra, mars in leo…)

  15. I have Sun conj Chiron in Aries natally. I also have Chiron Opposite Uranus and square to Mars in Capricorn. Sun is in the 11th. Mars in the 8th and Uranus in the 5th.

I acknowledge the wound has been there since birth – the very origins and me becoming into existence was a deeply unwelcomed event in my sperm and egg donor’s life and it appeared to be a deeply adverse affect on them. BML and Lilith in the 4th adds onto the story of my life.

I was triggered yesterday and those old thoughts and feelings came up surrounding my origins and biological family, whom I have been estranged with for several years now.

Anything to do with my biological family is a deep painful and traumatic memory…although that is a theme coming up for me now – as Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto will be opposing my moon in Cancer.

I’m taking my chart is as a whole when I present my comment and listing more than one thing in the chart.

Uranus opposing Chiron and Sun in my chart…..Saturn doesn’t aspect Chiron. However, Saturn does square the nodes and the Sun rules my South node while Uranus rules my North node in the 10th. Saturn is in the 12th…

  16. I am approaching my Chiron returns and have been feeling it for the past few years. Currently the transits of the Sun, Venus and Chiron are conjunct in Aries and as in my natal chart. I’ve been in deep throws of unpacking my patterns and feeling so exhausted of them and desiring to find my way out of this cycle. I guess getting to 50 means you’ve finally had enough! ha! Your explanation about Chiron in Aries is so beautifully expressed. It really hit me at a deeper level. Thank you for sharing this wisdom.
