Venus In Aquarius

After she learned how to reach the highest achievements possible playing by the rules (Venus in Capricorn), Venus now makes a step forward.

In Aquarius, Venus is teaching us about those things money can’t buy, about those things the status doesn’t make any difference to.

In Aquarius, Venus wants to break free from the same beliefs and habits that made her successful.  That’s because she now knows that there is something bigger to life than fitting in, paying the bills, or wearing expensive clothes.

Going around the same way we’ve been before is comfortable and safe. But if we choose the path we’ve never been is so much more rewarding, and in a sense, the only way to be.

A society is defined by its rules, and so are we. The decisions we make, the way we define beauty, our likes and dislikes, are very much defined by the norms of the society we live in, not by ourselves.

But there will always come a time when we will want something different, when we will want to make a step forward  to awaken to the next level of existence.

And this is what Venus in Aquarius is about. Venus in Aquarius wants to break free from the norm so that she can re-create the norm. Aquarius and Pisces, the last two signs of the Zodiac, represent the playing field of the Universe who always recreates itself.

Venus rules our values, what we like or dislike. In Aquarius, Venus will therefore like anything that is different, and will dislike anything that conforms to the norm.

In Aquarius, Venus become idealistic and wants to save the world. Venus in Aquarius represents the awakened consciousness put into the service of humanity.

Unusual relationships are another trademark of Venus in Aquarius. She will invite us to find our own path in love and with relationships. We won’t fall for the ordinary, but for the rebel, for the unique, for the misfit.

Venus in Aquarius is a bit more distant and unapproachable but that’s because now she cares about the big, meaningful things in life, and does not have any energy left to bother with the everyday mundane things.

Every time Venus is in Aquarius, we are developing the skills of detachment and objectivity. We learn how to detach from the norms around us, so that we don’t get swept into just doing the same old things we are expected to do, which will keep us away from knowing who we really are.

We will now make decisions that can surprise those around us. We might decide to go and date (or marry!) someone our parents or friends don’t like, or we might suddenly (yes, Uranus rules Aquarius)  decide to change our career or just do something completely different.

During this transit your heart will long for the freedom to be yourself.

It’s not about being different for the sake of being different, but about being an individual. Being true to yourself means never having to pretend you are someone you are not, feeling something you don’t.

We will now learn to cherish our uniqueness as the amazing human beings we are.
