New Moon, New Beginnings

At 0:11 UTC, October 1st 2016, the Moon will conjunct the Sun at 8 degrees Libra.

At certain key moments in our life, we’ve all experienced the magical feeling of a new beginning – the spark, the excitement, the flow of emotions, the appeal of the unknown, the magnetic pull that makes us want to get out of the old skin to become a beautiful butterfly. The New Moon on 1st of October is all about new beginnings. In Libra, the sign of the “other”, expect new beginnings with new people, or exciting new directions with existing connections.

This New Moon in Libra is the best New Moon we had in a while. Just to give you few reasons.

This is the first New Moon after the eclipse season In September. Eclipses, also called the “renewal season”, are the necessary “cosmic adjustment” he have approximately twice a year. When things get off track, the Eclipses kick-in and bang, we get back in sync with the Source. Eclipses are the cosmic “Reset button”. And now that we are done with the Eclipses – after anything that was no longer needed is gone, it is time for the “new” to emerge. And this is the New Moon magic. When the eternal feminine (the Moon) connects with the eternal masculine (the Sun) this is when creation happens and when things get started. The Nodes of the Moon square Saturn, the planet of Karma, further heightening the “fated” feeling of a new beginning, of something that HAS to happen.

The New Moon is conjunct the great benefit Jupiter. There is nothing more auspicious than a New Moon AND Jupiter aligned in the sky. Moreover, Jupiter just changed signs. Jupiter changes signs once a year. The energy of a planet is activated when we have the first New Moon after the sign change. Do I need to mention again how lucky we are to have Jupiter shining bright next to the New Moon? We will feel like we have just won the celestial lottery!

This New Moon is in Libra and therefore ruled by Venus, which right now is in perfect sync with the planet of higher love, Neptune. Venus and Neptune are in Water signs, so the feelings can reach such a pitch of intensity that will feel sacred.

The theme: Because Libra is the sign of partnerships, we will suddenly become more aware of “the other”.  We will just find it easier to put ourselves into the other people’s shoes, and cooperate with others in a healthy way. This is an excellent time to form partnerships – both romantic and business –  to make agreements, to negotiate and to employ diplomacy in our communication.

The timing: The seeds we plant now we will bear fruits during the upcoming Libra Full Moon on April 10-11, 2017, six months down the line.

What do to: New Moons represent the end of a cycle and the beginning of another. The day of the New Moon and the day after are the window of opportunity to seed new ideas related to Libran themes.Start a new activities with your partner, work in a team, (re)decorate your home, or go shopping for good quality items.

Make a wish list! Set intentions aiming to bring more balance and harmony in your relationships. Write them down.

Make plans together with your partner or with your team. As much as you want to make pans on your own, try experimenting co-creating with others. Experience what it feels like to be an equal, even in your authority’s area.

Meditate together with your partner or a close friend – gaze into each other’s eyes. Try to keep the gaze for at least one minute (you can smile, wink, or even cry, but keep you gaze on).

Don’t overdo it with intentions and lists. In pure Libran style, remember that the best things come when we find that balance between knowing where we are aiming at, and in the same time trusting that Universe will bring us exactly where we need to be.

To recap: the New Moon in Libra is all about new beginnings, especially in the areas of partnerships. This New Moon is extremely auspicious and – with Jupiter’s helping hand –  can help you manifest your wildest dreams. Whether or not you’ve been looking to change something in your life, the New Moon will give you a planetary push in the direction of your soul’s purpose.
